Our 2018-19 Programmes include:

Values, Money & Me on Ice Family Learning with The Nottingham Panthers

There are two elements to the fun packed family workshop we have to offer:

The first being a 1.5hour classroom session doing activities and using iPads all based around ‘Values Money and Me’.  This is a financial resource which aims to give young children and their families a head start in life by helping develop their financial knowledge, as well as their attitude and values towards money. The activities include lots of problem solving for the characters within stories: all of which relate to everyday life. Families are encouraged to work together and share thoughts and ideas.

The second element of the workshop is where families can improve their ice skating skills. They get to spend an hour on the ice working with top class coaches, who will teach the adults and children in separate groups learning objectives from Skate UK grade level 1. This enables the families to gain basic skating skills and improved confidence on the ice.

Sessions take place at the National Ice Centre and start at 6pm, finishing at 8.30pm

There is no cost to the school. All you have to do is sign up between 10 and 15 families 1 adult per child from either KS1 or KS2.  Many schools have a member of staff join the session as well. Some schools have provided transport and others have asked families to make their own way in the past, this is up to you.
